Verna Katherine Taylor

Verna Katherine Taylor, age 83, of Glasgow, KY, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at TJ Samson Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late William Chapman Coomer and Mary Francis Ferguson Coomer. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith. She is survived by four sons, James Fields, Jerry Fields, Robert Fields, and John Fields (Jennifer); two daughters, Nettie Fields (Louis) and Patricia Fancher (Gary); her daughter Linda's significant other, Mike Taylor; many grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Roger, and Clifton Coomer; four sisters, Alice Fields, Minnie Rose Coomer, Betty Crowe, and Brenda Mack; three daughters, Ella Davis and her husband Paul (Pop), Louise Simmons and her husband Bobby, and Linda Cline; one son, Mitchell Fields; two daughters in law, Roberta Fields and Mattie Anderson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 18th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday and Saturday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
