Violet Marie Spillman, 91, of Glasgow, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 at the Signature Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. She was born in Glasgow, April 27, 1929 to the late George Burette Huddleston and Florence Hurt Huddleston. She had retired from Sorenson Manufacturing Company and served as a Samsonite at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Violet was a volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club in Glasgow and was active with the Lucas Homemakers. She was member of the Dover Baptist Church in Haywood since 1940. Survivors include, three daughters, Judy Lane Risley, Betty Jackson (Steve), Vickie Hunt (Daryel); seven grandchildren, Yvonne, Yvette, Stephanie, Sonja, Shane, Jamie, Justin; twenty-two great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Drewey Spillman; one son-in-law, Bob Risley; one brother, George Thomas Huddleston; two sisters, Lyndal Kinslow, and Faye Jones. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 15th at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with burial to follow. The family and A. F.
