Virginia Cox

Virginia Elizabeth Matthews Cox 92 of Glasgow died Friday, March 4, 2016 at the NHC Health Care Facility. Born in Bowling Green, KY she was the daughter of the late B. B. and Earle Mathews Matthews and wife of the late Wendell M. Cox. Mrs. Cox was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 sons Larry Cox of Glasgow and Leland Cox (Debbie) of Cave City, KY; 2 daughters Linda Quinlan (Dan) of Paducah, Cheryl Button (Kevin) of Glasgow and ; 8 grandchildren Paul Cox, Julie Cox Davis (Jeff), Nikki Poland (Chad), Kelley Kaunisto (Joel), Jennifer Quinlan, Matt Quinlan, Carey Button, and Brice Button. 8 great grandchildren; a sister Elsie Lee Matthews Rich of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 2 sisters Paula Earlene Matthews Trimble and Ethel Maxine Matthews. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
