Virginia Davis

Virginia Davis, age 85 of Leitchfield passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at Kensington Center in Elizabethtown. She was born December 10, 1929 in Leitchfield, Kentucky the daughter of Shelton and Amie Decker. She was married to the late Chester Davis and she enjoyed attending church at Decker and Long Branch Holiness Church and she love flowers especially pansies. She is survived by four daughters, Janice Decker, Joan Meredith (Donnie), Mary Helen Sandlin all of Leitchfield, KY and Kathy Anderson (Jimmy) of Clarkson, KY, two sons, Harold Davis (Ann) and Chester Davis, Jr. (Linda) both of Leitchfield, KY, one brother, Floyd Decker of Leitchfield, KY, two sisters, Doris Witten (Conda) of Clarkson and Brenda Wood of Bee Spring, KY, 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Other than her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Lou Davis, one grandson, Ted Kinkade, and three brothers, Clinton, Harlan and Elwood Decker and one sister, Alene Loflin. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Bro. Leon Ashley officiating. Burial will be in the Anneta United Baptist Church Cemetery in Anneta, KY. Visitation will be held after 5:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
