Virginia 'Ginnie' Ruggles 79 of Hampton, Virginia and a former Glasgow resident, died Thursday May 11, 2006 at the North Hampton Convalescent Center in Hampton, VA. She was born in Indiana the daughter of the late Frank and Beulah Dean Aper. Ms. Ruggles was a member of the Glasgow Bible Church for many years before moving to Virginia. She was the founder of the T. J. Samson Community Hospital Auxiliary where she was active for many years, was very active in T.A.R. (Teen Age Republicans) and and many other activities involving her children. Recently, she received the Life Long Alumni Member Award from Purdue University. She is survived by four daughters, Sharon Simpson and husband Phillip of Bowling Green, Linda Milby and husband Mike of Campbellsville, Debbie Ruggles of Louisville and Kathy Marsh and husband Don of Poqoson, VA; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; a brother Don Aper and wife Edith of Las Vegas, NV and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday May 16, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and on Tuesday until time for services. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the T. J. Samson Auxiliary or your favorite organization.
