Virginia Ruth Bailey

Virginia Ruth Bailey, 89, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at her daughter's residence in Lexington, KY. She was born in Metcalfe County on September 18, 1931, to the late Ruford Hurt and Virgie Howell Hurt. Virginia worked as a Nurse Aid for 26 years at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow and was a member of Glasgow Baptist Church for over 56 years. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Chase of Lexington, KY; grandson, Scott Chase (Jessica) of Lexington, KY; great grandson, Cameron Bailey Chase of Lexington, KY In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Norvin Hurt and her son-in-law, Kenneth Chase. Graveside service for Virginia will be held 1:00pm Friday, June 4, 2021, at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with burial to follow. Visitation will be from 11:00am until 12:45pm at the funeral home.
