Virginia Ruth McDonald, 97, of Glasgow, died Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Highland Ridge Assisted Living. Born in Etoile, KY she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Cora Hale Payne. She was the wife of the late Charlie Hampton McDonald. She was a receptionist for T. J. Samson Hospital, along with being a homemaker, loving to cook for her family whom she loved dearly, also taking care of her flowers. Mrs. McDonald was a member of the Caney Fork Baptist Church at Etoile where she was a Sunday School Teacher for several years. Survivors include 2 daughters Karen Carter husband Larry of Park City, Glenda Proctor of Smiths Grove; 1 son Billy McDonald wife Jan of Tracy; 4 grandchildren Dennis Martin wife Emily of Lexington, Vickie Martin of Park City, Shawn McDonald wife Rachel of Etoile, Nikki Richardson husband Jon of Glasgow; 6 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren Brian Proctor wife Kim of Bowling Green, Tinisha Napier husband Jeremy of Austin and Daniel Bragg of Austin; 6 step great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and 2 step great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 1 grandchild Penny Martin, 1 great grandchild Gelynn Martin, 2 sons-in-law Harold Martin and Johnny Proctor, 1 sister Irene Owens and 2 brothers Paul and Dennis Payne. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, January 27, 2020 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery, visitation will be Sunday January 26th 1:00PM until 8:00 PM and on Monday morning until time for services at the funeral home. A. F.
