Walter Neal Buster, 82, of Glasgow, KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born in Barren County, the son of the late Ross and Lela Levi Buster. Mr. Buster was a lifelong farmer. He operated a dairy, raised tobacco, corn, and other small crops. In later years, he raised beef cattle. He was a loyal friend and neighbor who enjoyed getting together and helping others. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing adult league softball and was an avid quail hunter. A devoted Christian, he was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at Allen's Crossroads near his home. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Joyce Powell Buster; 2 daughters Sharon Smith (John T.) of Glasgow and Katina Kemplin (Ben) of Russellville, KY; a grandson Jackson Powell Kemplin; several nieces and nephews including his nephews Jr. Buster (Judy) and Billy Buster (Mary Jane) of Glasgow; Bonnie Riggs, whom he considered a daughter, and Kami Williams whom he considered a granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Raymond Buster, and a sister, Nelle Frances Furlong. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 17th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 4pm until 8pm and Sunday until time for services.
