Wanda Houchens

Wanda Mildred Jones Houchens 82 of Glasgow died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY after a sudden illness. Born in Barren County she was the daughter of the late William Hershel and Leva E. Williams Jones and wife of the late J. T. Houchens. She was retired from the former Citizens Bank and Trust Co. and TransFinancial Bank where she was the manager at the Temple Hill branch. Mrs. Houchens was a member of the Temple Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter Sue Burgess (Royce) of Glasgow; 2 sons Ricky S. Houchens (Lori) and Roger A. Houchens (Tammy) both of Glasgow; 7 grandchildren Julie Robinson (Craig), Bridget Williams (Danny), Steven Houchens, Paige Houchens, Presley Houchens, Derek Mizell and Lance Mizell; 3 great grandchildren Ashley, Brock and Sydney Robinson; a sister Marguerite Marshall of Florida and 2 brothers Clifton Jones of Glasgow and Billy Jones of Gallatin, TN. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother Lester Jones and a sister Mary B. Jones Simmons. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
