Wanda Jordan

Marie Jordan 94 of Haywood died Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Barren County Health Care. Born in Barren County she was the daughter of the late Alice 'Peg' Greer Houchens, step-father Lonnie Houchens and father Levi Bailey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years Omer Jordan and a brother Roy Price. She was a member of the Dover Baptist Church at Haywood, Mrs. Jordan along with her husband owned and operated Crossroads Country Grocery for many years. She later worked at Ely Drugs. Mrs. Jordan is survived by a daughter Peggy Atkinson (Dan); a granddaughter Robin Shirley (Darren); a grandson Derek Atkinson (Katherine); five great grandchildren Brittany & Brianna Shirley and Ema Kate, Hayes & Ann Ashley Atkinson all of Glasgow. Funeral services will be 3:30pm Sunday, February 1, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.
