Watsie Gibson

Watsie Gibson, 85 of Clarkson went to be with the Lord August 28, 2015 at Springview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 15, 1930 in Grayson County to Lenola Stewart and William Puckett. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family. She also loved to travel, read and attend church. Survivors include two sons, Pat Gibson (Darlene) of Whitesville, Donnie Gibson (Sharon) of Bowling Green, two daughters, Wanda Walters (Wren) of Carlisle, Pennsylvania and Sandra Golden (Don) of Quincy, Massachusetts. She is also survived by one sister, Ola Porter of Clarkson and 8 grandchildren; Steve Gibson (Tiffany) of Marietta, Georgia, Jaime Forsythe (Jimmy) of Owensboro, Erin Gregory (Josh) of Allensville, Tiffany Walters (Jason Wisecup) of Washington, DC, Tristan Walters (Liz) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Christy Williams of Leitchfield and Sarah and Michael Golden of Quincy, Massachusetts. She has 13 great-grandchildren, Turner and Grant Gibson, Spencer and Addison Combs, Benjamin Forsythe, Wyatt, Dylan and Hoyt Gregory, Jasper Wisecup, Ella and Harrison Walters, Aislynn and Jerrick Williams. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her husband, Euell Gibson, daughter, Karen Johnson, son in law, Jerry Johnson, sister, Wawneeta Heaverin, half sisters, Estel and Vonnie Puckett and half brothers, Bobby and Harley Puckett. Visitation will be held at the Watson and Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the Little Flock Baptist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday, September 01, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Flock Baptist Church with interment at the church cemetery.
