Marion Byrd 61 of Glasgow died Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was born in Columbus, IN the son of the late Walter Marion Byrd and Bernice Groce Stephens. He was a former employee of the Kentucky Pants Factory. Mr. Byrd was a member of ARC of Barren County and the Cave City Church of God. He is survived by his wife Freida Francis Byrd; a daughter Gwendolen Holthouser (Jason Pedigo) of Glasgow; a daughter-in-law Patricia Graves of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren Jayden Lily Pedigo and Ashlyn Cadence Pedigo; 4 sisters Roberta Emmitt of Glasgow, Deanna Houchens (Bill) of Rocky Hill, Franchelle Rathert (Tim) of Railton and Brenda Thomas (Tim) of Glasgow; 1 brother Mark Byrd of Russellville; his step-mother Sue Byrd of Glasgow; 3 step-sisters Peggy Hutcheson of Glasgow, Cindy Green of Fountain Run and Glenda Lowery of Louisville; a step-brother Brent Decker of Johnson City, TN and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Marion Forest Byrd. Funeral services will be 1pm Thursday, April 25th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:30pm Wednesday. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the Gideon's.
