Wilburn Pogue

Bro. Wilburn 'Oscar' Pogue 80 died Friday March 25, 2005 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Bro. Pogue was born in Graves County the son of the late William Pogue and Lou Ella Copeland Pogue and husband to Eva Williams Pogue. He was a Grocery Store Manger for Houchens for many years and a Baptist Minister at many Churches in the surrounding Counties. Bro. Pogue was a member of the Concord Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Eva Pogue; 2 sons Larry Pogue of Glasgow and Richard Pogue and wife Christina of San Diego, CA; 1 daughter Sharon Young and husband Jackie of Edmonton, Ky; 4 grandchildren Lesley Spillman and husband Jordon of Glasgow, Aimee Young of Edmonton, Amber Young of Edmonton and Katherine Pogue of San Diego, CA; 1 great grandson Kaleb Spillman. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his Foster parents Lewis and Willie Tuttle; 2 brothers W.L. Pogue and Clifton Pogue ; 1 sister Ruth and 2 foster sisters Eunice Keen & Eura Meadow. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday March 28, 2005 at the Union #1 Church in Ft. Run with burial in the Union #1 Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 pm Sunday at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Alternate Expression of sympthy may be a memorial contribution to the Local D.A.V. Chapter 20.
