William Thompson Collins 80 of Glasgow died Thursday, August, 3, 2006 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Flippin, KY he was the son of the late Noah S. & Lillie Mae Albany Collins. Mr. Collins was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Monroe Co. and a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Navy. Survivors include his wife Maxine Likens Collins of Glasgow; 4 daughters Mary Rutledge (Jerry), Judy Trabue, Phila Chambers (Samuel) and Jane Collins all of Glasgow; a son Lee Royse Collins (Bonnie) of Glasgow; a step-daughter Judy Wood (Daryl) of Glasgow; a step-son Marshall Kerney (Gayle) of Glasgow; a sister Pearl Gregory (Lester) of Frisco, TX; 4 grandchildren Sarah Shaw, Leah Shaw, Jonathan Rutledge and Stacey Collins and 4 step-grandchildren Alan Scott Chaplin, Mark Todd Chaplin, Brandon Kerney and Grant Furlong. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Edna Gosnell Collins. Funeral services will be 10:00am Monday, August 7, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am Sunday at the funeral home.
