William Furlong

William Edward "Eddie" Furlong, 69, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. He was born October 8, 1951 in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late William Emery Furlong and Musie Louise Edmunds Furlong. Eddie retired from Eaton's as a machine operator and was a classic car enthusiast. He enjoyed many years of camping and boating with his family and friends. Mr. Furlong was a devoted member of Poplar Log Church of Christ. Survivors include, his loving wife, Doris Furlong; two daughters, Jamie Burgess (John) of Morganfield, Kentucky and Amy Wyatt (Steven) of Glasgow, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Abbi Furlong, Briar Wyatt, Audrey Burgess, Natalie Burgess; and one sister, Jill Gentry (Johnny) of Glasgow, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Poplar Log Church of Christ 12220 Tompkinsville Road Glasgow, Kentucky 42141 or American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718. The funeral service for Mr. Furlong will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 10th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A.
