William Neal Smith

Brother William Neal Bill Smith 68 of Glasgow was taken to his home in heaven on Thursday August 18, 2011. He was born in Barren County April 16, 1943, the son of the late Arthur and Delsie Farley Smith. He was a member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church and he owned and operated several businesses including the Beckton Country Store and Deli and Smiths Garage and Wrecker Service for over 30 years as well as being a Baptist minister. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Wanda Joyce Ragle Smith; 3 children Daniel Neal Smith (Fiance Kelly Miller), Melissa McCoy Smith (Tim) and Melanie Shrout (Patrick) all of Glasgow; 7 grandchildren Jason and Brian Shrout, Shiloh and Garren McCoy, Keith and Kelsey Wilson and Savanah Reece; 3 great grandchildren; 6 sisters May Likens, Vay France, Mary McPeak, Shirley Crews, Diana Smith and Debbie Decker; 2 brothers Kenneth C. Smith and Billy Ray Smith and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Arthur Edward, John William, Charles Clifton and Rollin Eugene Smith. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm Saturday and continue Sunday morning until time for the service.
