William "Punkin" Houchens

William 'Punkin' Houchens Jr. 39 of Glasgow died Saturday March 16, 2013 at the Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born in Barren County the Son of William Houchens and the late Louise Flowers. William was of the Baptist faith and will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his father William Houchens and wife Faye of Glasgow; 3 sisters Tracey Houchens of Louisville, Kim Nuckols and husband Lindon and Cindy Spillman both of Glasgow; 2 brothers Billy Melton Jr. and wife Nancy of Glasgow and Michael Melton and wife Kennisha of Bowling Green; Paternal Grandmother Jessie Houchens of Glasgow; and several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Claude and Margaret Flowers, Paternal grandfather Emil Houchens, Step grandparents Odell & Mary Akers, Nephew Anthony Melton and a great nephew Cody Beaty. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday March 19, 2013 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11:00am Tuesday at the funeral home.
