William Richardson

William "Big Wood" Richardson, 74, of Barren County, died Friday March 24, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Barren County, the son of the late Tom Woods Richardson and Pearl Shaw Richardson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served with the 3rd Armored Division in Germany. He retired from Eaton Axle in Glasgow after 22 years and was a self-employed drywall installer. He was a member of the Old Zion Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Richardson of Smith Grove; 3 sons, Chad Richardson (Jody), Jamie Richardson and Kevin Richardson all of Glasgow; grandchildren, Dylan, Melanie, Taylor, A.J., Cassidy and Breanna Richardson all of Glasgow; brother Tom Woods Richardson (Juanita) of Taylorsville, KY; sister Lucy Craine of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers Jimmy and Jack Richardson; 2 sisters Joanne Ball and Kathryn Elliot. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday March 29, 2017 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00am Wednesday until time for services at 1:00pm. Military Honors will be provided by DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow.
