William Robinson

William H. Robinson 83 of Glasgow died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Pike County, IL he was a son of the late William and Edith Robinson. Mr. Robinson was a retired supervisor for Caterpillar Inc. He loved country music and playing the steel guitar and other hobbies such as gardening, painting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. He was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anna 'Ann' Robinson whom he married March 17, 1951 in Pike County, IL; a son William Troy Robinson and a daughter Debra Brown both of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren Anna Powell (Josh) of Manito, IL and Michael Johnson of N. Pekin, IL; 2 great grandchildren Dalton and Hunter Powell; 2 brothers John Robinson of Illinois and James Robinson (Earline) of Glasgow; 2 sisters Frances Hartman and Rose Mary Robinson both of Illinois and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Joseph, Donald Robert and Richard Robinson and a sister Patricia Anne Welty. Funeral services will be 11am Monday, February 23rd at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Akersville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1pm until 4pm at the funeral home.
