William Smith

William T. Smith 88 of Glasgow died Thursday 3-3-05 at the NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. He was born in Barren Co. the son of the late James Yancy and Emersonia Emerson Smith and husband of the late Flossie Lee Wood Smith. William was a farmer and a member of the New Design Baptist Church. He is survived by 4 step daughters, Margaret Jones and husband Bill of Glasgow, Audrey Johnson and husband Emons of Lamb, Jean Abston of Glasgow and Ersie Houchens of Glasgow; 1 step son, Arlie Thomas and wife Virginia of Glasgow; 2 brothers David Smith and wife Betty of Bowling Green and Melvin Smith and wife Joann of Glasgow; 1 sister Imogene Carter and husband John of Glasgow. Several step grandchildren also survive. In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers Jim Alan Smith and Marvin Smith and a sister Annie Mae Mutter. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday 3-7-05 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
