William Thomas

William Paul Thomas 86 of Glasgow, died Saturday March 1, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Barren County on December 8, 1921, and was the son of the late Reed and Myrtie Jones Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a retired employee of Handmacher and was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church. He is survived by one son Bill Thomas and wife Sandi; two granddaughters Randi Woosley and husband Danny and Bobbi Mayes and husband Joey; one great-granddaughter Laurel Mayes; one sister Frances Rigsby and one brother Gayle Thomas and wife Anita all of Glasgow. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Grooms Thomas and one brother Robert Thomas. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday March 4, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00pm on Monday.
