William Thompson

William F Thompson, age 97, of Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Signature Healthcare. He was born in Center, KY on October 28, 1926, to the late Alvis Thompson and the late Della (Hiser) Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII. He served as a Cumberland Presbyterian minister for over 50 years, most recently serving at Neal’s Chapel.

He is survived by his wife of 77 years, Susan Thompson; sons, Ralph Thompson (La Chiel) and Steve Thompson (JoAnn); grandchildren, Angela, Ryan, and Kirsty; great grandchildren, Zach, Ashlea, Lori, Makenzie, Mia, Kellen, Kinley, Kale, Aiden, and Eli; great-great grandchild, Arthur; brother, Howard Thompson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Cookie Polley, and Marilee Wilson; brother, Avo Thompson.

The family has honored William’s wishes with cremation under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
