William "Tom" Thomas Edwards

William "Tom" Thomas Edwards, 82, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home. He was born June 7, 1941 in Barren County, Kentucky to the late Tommie S. Edwards. Tom was a former Kentucky State Trooper for 13 years and retired after 20 years from USDA as a Tobacco Grader. He was a devoted member of South Green Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include his two sons, Chris Edwards (Cindy), George Gregory “Greg” Edwards, both of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Christohpher Thomas Edwards (Jordan) of Glasgow, Shelby V. Edwards of Georgetown, Texas; two great grandchildren, Grant Alexander Edwards, William Thomas Edwards, both of Glasgow; two sisters-in-law, Louise Bray, Lula Pickard, both of Glasgow; and a special caregiver, Steven Lee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Georgia Raines Edwards and his aunt that raised him, Cornelia Anne Edwards, who to him, was a “mother in the truest sense.”

The funeral service for Mr. Edwards will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 23rd at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery.
