William Turner

William 'Jessie' Turner 91 of Glasgow, died Sunday October 19, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Clay County, TN the son of the late Edmond and Mattie Browning Turner. Mr. Turner was a former employee of G. H. Bowles and Son and owned and operated Jessie's Tractor Sales and Service in Glasgow. He was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Lilly Maude Matthews Turner; 3 daughters Sue Elmore (Bobby) of Glasgow, Martha Thompson (Allen) of Liberty, KY and Jan Clifford (Gary) of Hodgenville, KY; 6 grandchildren Robbie Elmore (Debbie) of Glasgow, Stephanie Elmore of Glasgow, Bradley Thompson (Jennifer) of Indianapolis, IN, Emily Jones (Dave) of Science Hill, KY, Chris Elmore of Glasgow and Jonathan Elmore of Campbellsville; 6 step grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Pauline Turner of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. He was peceded in death by a daughter Jo Ann Turner, 2 brothers Albert and Lee Turner, a sister Ila Cloyd and a granddaughter Kathy Sue Elmore. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday Oct. 22, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:00pm on Tuesday.
