William Ward

William Morris 'Bill' Ward 97 of Glasgow died Wednesday March 17, 2004 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Mr. Ward was born in Barren County the son of the late Sewell and Lucy Ann Nichols Ward. He was retired from the General Motors Corp. in Michigan after 42 years as a general foreman with the Pontiac Division. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Glasgow. He is survived by his wife Reba Matthews Ward; 1 son Robert Ward and wife Lois of San Rafael, CA; 1 daughter Helen Takas of Clayton, NC; 4 step children Charles Eubank of Goldsburg, NC, Kevin Eubank, Timmy Eubank and Shirley Pedigo all of Glasgow; 1 brother Chester Ward of Glasgow; 9 grandchildren, 18 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy M. Guirle Ward, 3 brothers Bruce, Earl and Otto Ward and three sisters Lucy May Ebert, Christine Nordstrom and Gladys Palmore. Funeral services will be 1pm Saturday March 20, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bowles Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am Friday at the funeral home.
