William Wilson

William R. Billy Wilson 76 of Glasgow died Tuesday at his home. He was born in Glasgow the son of the late William Purcell Wilson and Mallie Bailey Wilson. Billy was retired from the Glasgow Fire Dept. after 34 years of service and more recently had been a member of the Barren County Court House Security for 11 years until his illness. He enjoyed music and was a former drummer and a member of the community band, had worked as a land surveyor and was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Patricia; 2 sons William Adam Wilson and Richard Jason Wilson both of Glasgow; 1 daughter Melissa Blankenbecker of Crawfordsville, IN; a step-son Glen Hunley of Scottsville; 1 grandson William Chandler Wilson; a sister Delores Norman Dietrich of Bowling Green and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Friday.
