Mr. Willie Russell Ogles, 84, of Glasgow, died Tuesday morning Oct. 20, 2009 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow after a brief illness. The Scottsville, KY native was the son of the late B.R. and Velma Ogles. Mr. Ogles was a retired exterminator, a member of the Glasgow Wesleyan Church and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by sisters, Azlee Perry, Mildred Hughes, and Ruth Turner; and brothers James, Ernest, Cecil, Toy, George and Haskel Ogles. His survivors include his wife, Gleneth Nunn Ogles, five children: William R. Ogles and wife Maxine and Bobby Ogles and wife Betsy both of Glasgow, Betty Raines and husband Johnny and Gerald Ogles and wife Sandra both of Franklin, KY and Patsy Tuck of Glasgow; one step-son Danny Wayne Davis of Glasgow; 13 grandchildren; 1 step granddaughter; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother Ennis Ogles and wife Betty of Scottsville and two sisters-in-law Mary Ann Ogles of Scottsville and Sammie Ogles of Cumberland, IN. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, October 23, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time for the service. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Glasgow Wesleyan Church Bldg. Fund, 1002 Columbia Ave., Glasgow, KY 42141.
