Wilma Baker

Wilma Jean Baker 82 of Summer Shade, KY died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Glenview Health Care Center. Born in Metcalfe County she was the daughter of the late Joe C. and Myrtle Withers Sims. Mrs. Baker was a retired cook for NHC Healthcare Center and member of the Westwood Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband George; 1 son Hessel Baker (Linda) of Camner, KY; 2 daughters Sherry Free Johnson (Charles) of Glasgow and Gloria Kell (Leslie) of Franklin, KY; 8 grandchildren Debra Outler (Ranzy), Dena Hagan (Chris), Stacy Johnson, Jennifer Dobson (Josh), Jessica Baker, Melissa Conley (Mike), Lindsey Bradstreet (Houstin) and Derek Kell; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers Wayne Sims of Munfordville, KY, Joe Layne Sims and Jerry Sims both of Gallatin, TN; 2 sisters Alma Jean Harvey of Darlington, IN and Daisy Gassaway of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 1 grandchild Angela Michelle Baker. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Randolph. Visitation will be after 2PM Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the funeral home.
