Wilma Jessie

Wilma Jean Jessie 72 of Glasgow died Thursday October 18, 2007 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Monroe County the daughter of the late Ora Birge and Annie B. Pitcock Birge of Glasgow who survives. Mrs. Jessie was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband Olen Jessie; 1 son Howard Jessie of Glasgow; 1 daughter Jeanette Horton of Glasgow; 1 brother William Gayles Birge of Glasgow; 3 sisters Louise Proffitt, Lena Crabtree and Wanda McGuire all of Glasgow; 5 grandchildren Scott Beckham, Renee Dyer, Jason Jessie and Jamie and Jeremy Jessie. Several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive. She was also preceded in death by a son Ronnie Jessie and a brother Ora Birge Jr. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday October 21, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Union #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and on Sunday from 9:00am until time for services. Eastern Star Service will be at 6:30 pm on Saturday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
