Woodford Grant 'Woody' Turner, 56, of Cave City went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, July 5th, 2015 at his home. Born in Glasgow, he was the son of Donald Clay and Zelma Mae Turley Turner of Cave City who survive. Woody was a 1976 graduate of Barren County High School and graduated from ITT Institute in Nashville, TN in 1993. He was a maintenance engineer for Akebono Brake for over 18 years. Woody was a member of Little Hope Baptist Church and was an avid game fowl sportsman. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lori Peden Turner; three daughters Amber Turner of Park City, Stephanie Phillips (Craig) of Elizabethtown, and Autumn Merriss (Jared) of Alvaton; two sons Adam Turner (Jessica) of Hopkinsville and Tyler Turner (Katrina) of LaGrange; 9 grandchildren Madison Hillberry, Rhiley Thomas, Grace Turner, Josie Merriss, Kayelynn Turner, Sadie Phillips, Grant Turner, Brayden Phillips, and Jaxon Merriss; 2 aunts Alberta Logsdon of Park City and Lottie Buffington of Glasgow; a special cousin Maria Westcott (Mike) of Park City; brother-in-law Robert 'Bobby' Peden (Janice) of Austin and many dear and loving friends. Funeral services will be 11am Thursday, July 9th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4pm until 8pm and Wednesday from 10am until 8pm.
