Zeb Ricketts, Jr. 83 of Glasgow died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Barren County Health Care in Glasgow. He was born in Sulvan, West Virginia the son of the late Zeb Ricketts, Sr. and Bertha Gregg Ricketts. Mr. Ricketts was a school teacher and school administrator in the Caverna, Glasgow Independent, Barren, Hart and the Crittenden County School systems and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, Sunday school teacher and former choir member. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Hammett Ricketts, 2 daughters Suzanne Sidebottom (Steve) of Munfordville and Angie McCoy (Cavey) of Glasgow; 4 grandchildren Mark Sidebottom (Kristina) of Horse Cave, Erin Dennis (Mack) of Durham, NC and Will and Charley McCoy of Glasgow; 4 great-grandchildren Kyla, Maci and Jessa Sidebottom and Liam Dennis; 1 brother Bill Ricketts of Kingston, TN and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 31st at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm and Thursday until time for the service.
