Zula Evelyn Thomas Scott, age 88, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Zula was born in Glasgow to James Bruce Thomas and Velma Catherine Groce. She was the third of six children. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jewell Depp Thomas, James Allen Thomas, Billy Lewis Thomas, and Danny Kyle Harris. While residing in Glasgow, a sweet elderly lady named Lena James called at her door and placed a Bible with her. Lena came back the following week to cultivate the interest she had found and started a Bible study with both Zula and Julian, Donnie Burnett continued the Bible study until Zula and Julian moved to Bradenton Florida. It was not long until they were found again by Jehovah's Witnesses and their Bible study resumed. Both Zula and Julian liked what they heard and got baptized in symbol of their dedication to Jehovah God on August 5, 1956. They were both faithful until their death and have the hope of a resurrection to a Paradise earth. Zula's favorite scripture is Matthew 5:5, "Blessed are the meek; for they shall inherit the earth." A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, February 5th, at Smith Cemetery in Sulphur Well. A.F. Crow & Son has been placed in charge of all arrangements. A.F. Crow & Son is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Scott.
